Wow! Al Gore is on a tear!
I couldn’t be happier! My friends within the Sierra Club have begun to sound off within the leadership email lists and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. A few folks pointed out that Mr. Gore’s plan will be much more viable if we aim for a 90% move off fossil fuels. They may be right but that is not the point at this juncture.
The main point is that Mr. Gore has added his influential voice to the growing chorus of calls to move the United States of fossil fuels. Our production of electricity is an excellent place to start because practical alternatives are widely available.
